This former WWE star recently made a surprising statement.

Former 21-time WWE Hardcore Champion, Steven Richards, runs a popular podcast on YouTube called the Steven Richards Show with wrestling analyst James Romero.

In a new episode, the pair discusses WWE Legend Ric Flair talking about coming out of retirement.

Although The Nature Boy has confirmed that he will indeed stay retired after joking on a live stream that he would come out of retirement to wrestle veteran Ricky Morton earlier this year, Romero and Richards talk about Flair’s resilience and how he posts about deadlifting 300 pounds on social media despite having every ailment there is to have at this point.

Richards complains of back pain that he has, which keeps him from even walking properly, let alone wrestling, but also jokes that he would come out of retirement to wrestle Ric Flair.

I’ll give you my selfish pie in the sky theory once again, since we’re kind of in the clouds talking about the match I had when I’m there. You know, right now, I can hardly walk with my back or any of that stuff. I will come out of retirement and wrestle Ric Flair in his last match.

Especially since it’s more of a current thing, especially with the clips we talk about and everything. It could be not nostalgia, but to shut this young guy up type thing.

Romero also notes Ric Flair’s statement, where The Nature Boy praised AEW CEO Tony Khan and talked about how Khan didn’t allow him to wrestle when he found out Flair was on blood thinners.
