It was only a tease, and Flair stated that nothing is locked in, but he needs something to motivate him to go to the gym every day.

Flair has confirmed retirement multiple times in the past, but has returned to wrestle again. His most famous retirement match was at WrestleMania 24 againstShawn Michaels.
