Former WWE Women’s Champion ‘Challenges’ Sasha Banks To Match

Mickie James wants a piece of Sasha Banks.

Former WWE Women’s Champion, Mickie James recently took a fun jab at Sasha Banks on Twitter, jokingly challenging ‘The Boss’ to a match. “Fight me!!!!”, the five-time champion proclaimed.

The IMPACT Wrestling star signed with WWE back in 2003 where she was part of the company’s then-developmental brand, Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW). James honed her craft in OVW before making her main roster debut on Monday Night RAW in 2005, where she was immediately thrust into a program with Hall of Famer, Trish Stratus. James’ feud with Stratus would culminate at WrestleMania 22, where James defeated Stratus to secure her first of five titles during her time in WWE.

James departed the company in 2010 after what she described as WWE wanting to ‘move in a new direction’ with the women’s division. However, James would return to the company in 2016 before being released in April 2021. James would make her (as of now) final appearance on WWE programming during the 2022 Royal Rumble premium live event, where she was an entrant in the Women’s Royal Rumble match while she was IMPACT Knockouts World Champion in what was called a one-night crossover appearance.

The five-time champion recently announced her ‘Last Rodeo’ run and more information on what James is hoping to accomplish during the run can be found by clicking here.
