Former AEW Women’s World Champion Set For Six-Month Absence

AEW Jamie Hayter

Jamie Hayter looks to be out of action for the rest of the year.

The former AEW Women’s Champion has not been seen since the Double or Nothing pay-per-view back in May, where she lost the title to Toni Storm. It was reported that Hayter went into the match “banged up” and was working with an injured shoulder.

In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, a window of return has been provided for Hayter. It is estimated that the AEW wrestler will be back in the ring in February 2024 due to various injuries sustained.

The update is a disappointing one for the British wrestler, who will miss All Elite Wrestling’s debut show in the UK at Wembley Stadium on Sunday, August 27th.

The lengthy absence of the former Women’s Champion, unfortunately, adds to the list of wrestlers due to be out of action for a lengthy period of time, as Bryan Danielson is also set to miss multiple big events for AEW.

Where Is AEW Wrestler Jamie Hayter From?

Hayter is billed as being from Southampton, England. Following a sporadic appearance on an October 2019 episode of Dynamite, Hayter was unable to make future appearances due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Hayter would eventually become All Elite in the summer of 2021, coming to the aid of Britt Baker.

The highlight of the British wrestler’s career would come at the 2022 Full Gear pay-per-view, where Hayter would defeat Toni Storm to become the new Interim Women’s Champion. Following Thunder Rosa forfeiting the lineal championship, Hayter was officially recognised as the Undisputed Women’s Champion.
