Ex-WWE Writer Says Logan Paul Should Dethrone Roman Reigns

Roman Reigns glares at camera

A former WWE writer has made the surprising assertion that Logan Paul should be the one to end Roman Reigns’ dominant run as Undisputed WWE Universal Champion.

Since becoming the Universal Champion at WWE Payback in August 2020, Roman Reigns has taken on all comers to become the most dominant champion of the modern era. Reigns cemented this legacy at WrestleMania 38 when he overcame Brock Lesnar to unify WWE’s top titles.

With there being few left to challenge The Tribal Chief, there has been huge speculation about who will take finally take his titles. Such a momentous win has the potential to launch a new star to the top of WWE.

While many have suggested the likes of Big E, Drew McIntyre, or Cody Rhodes to dethrone Roman Reigns, former WWE Head Writer Vince Russo has thrown a very different name into the conversation, Logan Paul.

Speaking on “Writing With Russo,’ he claimed that the YouTube star is better than anyone else on the company’s roster.

“Bro, put the title on him! Let Logan Paul beat Reigns. He’s better than anyone else they got there, bro. Absolutely, absolutely… put the belt on him. Seriously, Logan Paul! Why not? Why not, bro?”

After his showing at WrestleMania 38 surprised many, Logan Paul recently announced he had signed with WWE. Although there has been no confirmation on when his first match under contract will happen, it is widely expected to be at SummerSlam. The bout could see Paul team with AJ Styles to take on The Miz and Ciampa.

Meanwhile, Roman Reigns will put his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship on the line against Brock Lesnar once more at the Biggest Party of the Summer, this time in a Last Man Standing Match.
