Former WWE star Billy Jack Haynes has now been charged with murder following the shooting of his wife.

In early February KOIN reported that a man had been arrested following a fatal shooting that led to a shelter in place order being imposed on the Lents neigbourhood. The incident happened on the morning of February 8th with the shooting believed to have happened at 9:52 am. A man – not named in the initial report – was said to have been uncooperative with police officers and refused to exit the house for several hours.

The man was then detained after leaving the premises and that is when a woman was found dead inside the property.

Jim Valley of the Wrestling Observer was the one who named former WWE star Billy Jack Haynes as the suspect in the case. 85-year-old Janette Becraft has now been named as the victim.

KOIN 6 has now followed up by reporting that after Haynes was released from hospital on the 28th of February, he was booked into the Multnomah County Detention Center in Portland, Oregon where he was charged with murder in the second degree and unlawful use of a weapon. While Haynes had been in police detention during his time in hospital it was only on his release that he has now been officially charged.
