Tony Khan Drops Breaking News Regarding Anna Jay’s Future Ahead Of AEW Redemption
Tony Khan has opened up about Anna Jay’s AEW future.
Anna Jay has been with AEW since the very beginning. She first gained traction as the only female member of Dark Order. After leaving the group, she pursued a singles career.
However, she soon joined the Jericho Appreciation Society. Although Anna Jay had a promising future at one point, she is yet to win a title in Tony Khan’s company. For the past year, Anna Jay and Tay Melo have been trying to win the Women’s Tag Team Titles. However, they have been unsuccessful in their pursuit of gold. They last challenged for the titles on the 6th June episode of AEW Collision. Anna Jay has not been seen on AEW TV since then, leaving fans to wonder what happened to her, especially after she recently said that her contract was nearing expiry.
“The only thing out of everything that’s been posted that’s true is just that my contract is coming up, but that is it.”
Tony Khan says Anna Jay has a very good standing in AEW
During the recent AEW Redemption media call, Tony Khan said that Anna Jay is in good standing with the company. He was planning to book her in recent weeks, but she is out injured right now.
“Anna is in very good standing with us. Anna is out injured right now. I was hoping to book her in recent weeks, and she has an injury. Last week, she was going for an MRI.”
He further confirmed that Anna Jay has extended her AEW contract and will remain with the company.
“She is in good standing and has a lot of time left. She’s extended her contract with AEW. She is going to be staying in AEW.” [H/T Ringside News]
Tony Khan says the status for Tay Melo and Anna Jay is very different on both. He saw a lot of things on them being reported that were inaccurate.
