Ex-WWE Champion Signs One-Year TNA Deal After Retirement Comeback
Ex-WWE NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion Cora Jade signs a new deal with TNA.
Jade was released from WWE on May 2, 2025, ending her four-year tenure with the company. The main reason given was part of WWE’s cost-cutting and roster restructuring.
After her release, she dropped the Cora Jade character, reclaimed her pre-WWE ring name Elayna Black, and started wrestling on the independent scene for promotions like GCW, TTW, Black Label Pro, and ALW. In July, Jade announced that she’d be taking a retirement break from wrestling to focus on her mental health.
She recently returned to the ring on TNA on Thursday Night Impact!’s AMC debut. Following her return, it was revealed that she had signed a new one-year deal with TNA, which marks the start of her full-time career in the company.
Fightful reported:
“Elayna is scheduled to be a full-on member of the TNA roster after stepping away from wrestling six months prior. She’s signed to a one-year contract that goes through the 2026 year.”
Fightful also added that there were allegedly no reported talks between Jade and other promotions before Jade signed the new deal with TNA.
“We have not heard of conversations between Black and other companies prior to signing.”
Ex-WWE Star Cora Jade Spotted Wrestling With Mandy Rose
Cora Jade and Mandy Rose recently appeared together in a special wrestling match as part of an OnlyFans Wrestling (OFTV) event, which was a fun, low‑impact show created for content and fan engagement.
Mandy was released in December 2022 after she violated WWE’s talent policy by posting adult content on social media. Following her release, Rose built a successful content creation career, which made her more money than wrestling.
