Ex-WWE Name To Join Jon Moxley’s Death Riders In AEW?
Jon Moxley’s Death Riders is one of the top heel groups in AEW. It consists of Wheeler Yuta, Claudio Castagnoli, PAC, Marina Shafir, and Daniel Garcia.
The group was formed at All In 2024 after Jon Moxley‘s longtime friend Bryan Danielson won the AEW World Championship. Moxley and his allies then turned heel and betrayed Danielson, brutally attacking him and laying the foundation for the faction.
Ever since the group was formed, fans have speculated about Moxley’s real-life wife, Renee Paquette, who works as an AEW broadcaster, potentially joining the faction.
Renee Paquette recently appeared on the Busted Open Podcast, where she addressed the possibility of becoming part of Moxley’s faction in AEW. Paquette said she understands why fans want to see her involved with the Death Riders due to her history with Jon Moxley, and she admits it could be fun.
Renee Paquette Is Not Interested In Joining Jon Moxley’s Death Riders In AEW
However, she is happy in her current role and is more interested in growing as a broadcaster than becoming part of an on-screen faction. She also feels joining the group could be risky, as fans might not respond positively and could turn against her.
I have not really seen much of that, but I mean that’s always been something that’s sort of bubbled up. I think as soon as people realize that Jon and I were together many, many, many moons ago. There’s always been sort of that, ‘Oh, what if something happened? What if we did something?’
I get the lure of that and there’s of course part of me that’s like, ‘Oh, that would be fun to do something with the Death Riders,’ and I love everybody that’s a part of that crew. It is such a strong, badass crew of these legendary people.
But I also like where I’m at and I don’t feel like—and not that you don’t want to grow and you want to do other things—but also I’m pretty happy with what I’m doing.
And I think if I want to grow in something else, it’s growing on the broadcast side of things. And I’m always kind of focusing on honing my craft and finding other ways that I can contribute and help with stuff.
And I think should I ever get involved in something like that, I think that could be a slippery slope with fans being like, ‘Maybe I don’t like this. Yeah, I don’t like her.’ Who knows? Fans can be a little bit fickle sometimes.
Before becoming All Elite, both Mox and Renee used to work for WWE. Mox was known as Dean Ambrose, and Renee Paquette went by the ring name Renee Young in WWE.
