Ex-WWE Champions Win AEW Debut

It’s been a good start to life in the ring in AEW for a pair of former WWE champions after a rocky start in the company.

Tony Khan has been a busy man as he recently brought in former TNA faction The Rascalz. However, questions quickly arose when only Myron Reed, Zachary Wentz, and Desomond Xavier debuted on screen. Trey Miguel, who was also the odd man out when Wentz and Xavier joined WWE previously, was nowhere to be seen.

It has since emerged that Miguel had signed with AEW, but just as quickly, he was released from his contract. That decision was believed to have been made above Tony Khan’s head, with Miguel’s controversial past comments coming into play.

Trey Miguel has since re-signed with TNA, while his Rascalz partners have now finally got in the ring in their new wrestling home.

Ex-WWE Champions Win Big On AEW Collision

On the January 31st edition of Collision, former WWE NXT Tag Team Champions, Desmond Xavier and Zachary Wentz, teamed up in their AEW debut. Together, they defeated the CRU pairing of Action Andretti and Lio Rush.

There was a more notable debut win on the same show, as former WWE Tag Team Champion Tommaso Ciampa defeated Mark Briscoe to win the TNT Title.
