WWE had planned an eventful Friday Night SmackDown for tonight, which saw huge implications for the Road to WrestleMania and the championship picture on the blue brand.

Damian Priest and R-Truth won the tag team turmoil match to become the number one contenders for the Tag Team Championships tonight, while Cody Rhodes challenged for the Undisputed WWE Championship.

In addition to all the championship-related drama on the show, a former AEW star quietly made his debut on the blue brand in a backstage segment, which involved the SmackDown General Manager, Nick Aldis.

Danhausen makes WWE SmackDown debut tonight

Danhausen made his official WWE debut at Elimination Chamber last weekend when it was revealed that he was inside the mystery wooden crate. He then appeared on Monday Night RAW before appearing on the blue brand tonight.

He interacted with Nick Aldis backstage and looked to be assigned a mentor on the show. Aldis introduced Danhausen to The Miz and asked him to mentor the new star since he has already done so much in the promotion.

Danhausen had an awkward interaction with The Miz as the must-see superstar didn’t want anything to do with him. However, Danhausen demanded that Miz help him become the WWE Champion if he doesn’t want to be cursed like Dominik Mysterio.
