Breaking: Domink Mysterio’s 93-Day WWE Intercontinental Title Reign Shockingly Ends On RAW

WWE RAW saw a major title match take place at the show after it was already scheduled for tonight. Two weeks ago, on Monday Night RAW, a huge number one contender’s match was announced between Penta and El Grande Americano.

They fought each other to earn a shot at Dominik Mysterio’s Intercontinental Championship, and Penta turned out to be the eventual winner and set up yet another clash with the younger Mysterio.

Dominik asked Finn Balor and JD McDonagh to have his back during the match, but Finn reminded him that they agreed to win their title matches on their own, which Dominik accepted.

Penta becomes the new WWE Intercontinental Champion

The match between Penta and Dominik was an extremely interesting one, which saw both wrestlers push each other to their limits. Penta came close to winning the title on many occasions before Dominik tried to weasel his way out.

Towards the end, he slammed Penta into the ring post, causing the referee to check on him. He then asked JD to hand him the bell hammer, and he went to get the same.

However, JD was stopped in his tracks by Balor, who said that Dom wanted to do this on his own. Penta took this opportunity to take them both out with a dive before being attacked by Dominik.

He caught Penta in between the ropes and looked to hit him with a 619, before El Zero surprised him and hit him with a Mexican Destroyer to seal the win and become the new WWE Intercontinental Champion.
