El Grande Americano Attacked & Replaced By El Grande Americano
El Grande Americano screws over El Grande Americano.
On the February 7 edition of AAA on FOX, a Fatal 4-Way Rey de Reyes tournament qualifier headlined the show. It featured El Grande Americano II, Dragon Lee, Rey Fenix, and Octagón Jr.
But before the match began, Americano I attacked Americano II backstage and handcuffed him to a structure, preventing him from competing.
El Grande Americano I then took his spot in the match and went on to win after hiding a metal plate under his mask and headbutting Octagón Jr.
With this win, he earned a spot in the Rey de Reyes final on March 14, 2026. After the match, El Grande Americano II freed himself and chased Americano I out of the ring.

Other Things That Happened On The February 7 Edition of AAA On FOX
The February 7 AAA show opened with AAA Mega Champion Dominik Mysterio, who was confronted by his Rey de Reyes challenger, El Hijo del Vikingo.
Vikingo challenged Mysterio to put his hair on the line for their upcoming clash. The episode also saw La Hiedra and Ethan Page lose the AAA World Mixed Tag Team Championship to Lola Weiss and Mr. Iguana.
For those wondering why La Hiedra replaced Green in the match, it was because Green suffered an injury a day earlier on the February 6 episode of Friday Night SmackDown during an Elimination Chamber qualifying triple threat match against Tiffany Stratton and Lash Legend.
