Drew McIntyre’s Surprising Reaction When Asked About Vince McMahon’s Birthday
Vince McMahon’s birthday party recently made the headlines.
The former WWE boss turned 80 on August 24, and several stars of the Stamford promotion attended the event, including Drew McIntyre.
Both personalities have shared a complex professional relationship, since McMahon introduced McIntyre to wrestling fans in 2009 as his handpicked future superstar, earning him “The Chosen One” moniker.
McIntyre would make an early impact, winning the Intercontinental Championship, and hold it for 161 days.
A storyline involving the Nexus faction’s attack on McMahon saw the latter be removed from WWE taping, thus ending his influence on McIntyre’s golden run.
Drew McIntyre then featured in secondary storylines, even experiencing a losing streak that would force him to justify his position on the roster.
He was ultimately released on June 12, 2014.
The Scottish superstar then worked the indies before returning to World Wrestling Entertainment in 2017 under the NXT brand.
Since then, he has been on an impressive run, winning multiple World Championships on the main roster.

He is currently involved in a feud with Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton simultaneously, although he might be forced to deal with The Viper before getting his hands on Rhodes again.
The 40-year-old was also in the news for attending the besmirched boss Vince McMahon’s birthday party.
McIntyre recently answered a few questions for Adam’s Apple, wherein he was also asked how the party was.
The Scottish Warrior claimed that he was not going to comment about it online, saying “So I’m not going to comment on it on the internet, am I?”
Notably, WWE has not banned its wrestlers from being in touch with McMahon.
