Drew McIntyre Shockingly Loses WWE Title Match Before Elimination Chamber
Drew McIntyre seems to be dreading the day when Cody Rhodes can challenge for the Undisputed WWE Championship on TV.
It so happens that The Scottish Warrior protected himself from a rematch by ensuring a no-rematch clause was put in the contract by SmackDown GM Nick Aldis.
After defeating him in the Three Stages of Hell match, the new champion has been trying everything in his power to stop The American Nightmare from pursuing the title.
He Claymore’d Cody Rhodes out of the men’s Royal Rumble match, and is trying to cost him the Elimination Chamber match too. He wasn’t successful in stopping him from qualifying, but he can still take him out backstage so Rhodes is unable to compete.
Drew McIntyre lost the Undisputed WWE Championship match once again
The Scottish Warrior has been placing the championship on the line against Cody Rhodes at live events on WWE’s Road to WrestleMania tour. He has been trying to end the match in a disqualification to retain the title.
On the latest edition of the tour, McIntyre faced Rhodes at Lubbock, Texas.
Drew McIntyre tried to leave the ring in the concluding moments, but Rhodes stopped him. He was in a position to overpower him, but McIntyre hit Rhodes with a steel chair. This resulted in the match ending in a DQ.
While The American Nightmare won the match, he did not win the Undisputed WWE Championship.
