A donation fund has been set up for the family of Jay Briscoe, who tragically passed away earlier this week.

It was on January 17th, 2023 when the news came out that ROH Hall of Famer and Tag Team Champion Jay Briscoe in a car accident that took place in Laurel, Delaware.

Jay was driving a car with his two daughters when another car veered into his lane for a head-on collision, which killed Jay (real name Jamin Pugh) and the woman driver of the other car. Jay was 38 years old.

Here’s what the Delaware State Police reported about what happened in the car accident that took Jay Briscoe’s life.

On January 17, 2023, at approximately 5:09 p.m., a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 was traveling westbound on Laurel Road just west of Goose Nest Road. At the same time, a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 was traveling eastbound on Laurel Road in the same vicinity. For unknown reasons, the driver of the Silverado 1500 pickup truck failed to remain in her lane, crossed the center line, and entered the eastbound lane of Laurel Road, directly into the path of the Silverado 2500. This resulted in a head-on collision between the two pickup trucks in the eastbound lane.

The driver of the Silverado 1500, identified as 27-year-old Lillyanne Ternahan of Frankford, Delaware, was wearing her seatbelt. The driver of the Silverado 2500, identified as 38-year-old Jamin Pugh of Laurel, Delaware, was not wearing his seatbelt. Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene. The two passengers in Pugh’s pickup truck, identified as his 12-year-old daughter and 9-year-old daughter, were both properly restrained. Both girls were taken by ambulance to an area hospital and were admitted in critical condition.

Alcohol involvement in this crash is unknown. No other vehicles were involved in this collision. The roadway was closed for approximately four hours while the scene was investigated and cleared.

Since then, Jay’s wife asked for prayers for support for her children that were injured in the crash.

There has also been a GiveSendGo donation page to provide some financial support for Jay’s family that includes a photo of the family standing together. The message is as follows:

On the evening of January 17th, our community and friends across the world were left in shock after the news of the passing of Jamin, a man who made everyone around him a better person. The Pugh family’s world has shifted, and with that there will be many unforeseen expenses. We have set this page up (with approval from the family) to help ease any burden that may arise from this tragedy.

Its been heartwarming to read all the stories of those who interacted with Jamin, and his impact was felt across the world. Please continue to pray for the Pugh family and all of their children.

This is the only campaign that has been approved by the family.

The goal of the campaign is to raise $50,000 and it is already over $20,000 as of this writing. Cody and Brandi Rhodes have donated $1000 already with many others in the wrestling community joining in as well.
