Dominik Mysterio Desperately Wants To Avoid WWE Move: “It’s Not A Fun One”
Dominik Mysterio has a good reason not to want to take a certain WWE finishing move.
The AAA Mega Champion Dominik Mysteiro was involved in a big grudge match at WrestleMania 42 when he faced his former friend/mentor Finn Balor.
It was just any Finn Balor match, though. Balor brought back the “Demon” Balor look that he hadn’t used for over three years, and the two men went on to have a very physical Street Fight.
While Balor got the win as expected, Mysterio put up a fight and showed that he’s a tough guy, in addition to being one of the most creative wrestlers in WWE.
As a rising star in the current WWE landscape, Dominik was asked by Give Me Sport in a new interview about which era he would have liked to wrestle in.
“Definitely The Attitude Era. I mean, I just… I feel like I would fit in perfectly with a lot of the people that gave back attitude, you know? I got some attitude myself I’d love to give.”
When he was asked about what finishing move he doesn’t like taking, Dominik mentioned a move that’s done by his former Judgment Day ally, Damian Priest, who is one of WWE’s tallest wrestlers.
“Probably Damien Priest’s South of Heaven. He’s just so tall, and he gets you even higher up there, so your bump is actually like 10 feet tall. So he’s just.. it’s not a fun one for sure.”
Could Dominik Mysterio Really Become One Of WWE’s Top Babyfaces?
Ever since he turned on his father, Rey Mysterio, in September 2022, Dominik Mysterio has been one of the most hated wrestlers in all of WWE. However, there are also times when he wrestles in WWE and AAA, where he gets cheered because the fans appreciate how good a pro wrestler “Dirty” Dom has become.
At the end of 2025, WWE analyst Sam Roberts predicted that Dominik Mysterio could become one of the top babyfaces in WWE.
“I think Dominik turns babyface in 2026. I think that the work is put in for Dominik to turn babyface in 2026. And then everything is in position for Dominik to be the guy in 2027. I think as crazy as it sounds, Dominik Mysterio has the ability to be a main event babyface. I think he can do it. I think he’s got that connection with the audience. I think that he gets better and better and better.
And I just think that he comes across, as nuts as it sounds, as a massive superstar. And I think that in a roster that is gonna get younger, Dominik Mysterio becomes the guy who represents what the WWE is now. He’s relevant to culture now.
And I think in 2026, he turns babyface and is bulit and has work done within his character, within his story, so that in 2027, I am talking to you one year from now and saying 2027, Dominik Mysterio is one of, if not your top babyface.”
For now, Dominik Mysterio remains a top heel in WWE as part of The Judgment Day with Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan, JD McDonagh, Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez.
