Dennis Rodman is set to make his AEW debut in a very familiar venue.

A former Chicago Bull, Dennis Rodman is well-familiar with the United Center, having called the arena home from 1995-1999. Now, the multi-time NBA Champion is set to return to the Chicago venue.

According to an announcement on AEW’s official social media, the Worm will be making an appearance on the September 2nd episode of AEW Collision. The announcement read as follows:

“What will happen when the unpredictable @NBA Hall Of Famer #theWorm@dennisrodman returns to the @UnitedCenter, TOMORROW when Saturday Night #AEWCollision is LIVE from Chicago?!? Don’t miss Saturday Night Collision LIVE! 8pm ET/7pm CT on @tntdrama!”

At this time, there’s no word on what role Rodman will play on the show.

Has Dennis Rodman Wrestled Before?

Rodman is no stranger to the world of wrestling, making numerous appearances in WCW from 1997-1999. He formed an alliance with nWo leader Hulk Hogan in March of 1997, and his in-ring debut came the following June on an episode of Nitro, where he and Hogan were unsuccessful against the team of Lex Luger and Paul Wight (then known as The Giant). Hogan and Rodman were also unsuccessful when they faced Luger and The Giant at Bash at the Beach in July.

Rodman teamed with Hogan on one more occasion, with the team scoring a victory over Diamond Dallas Page and fellow NBA star Karl Malone at Bash at the Beach 1998. His final WCW match took place at Road Wild 1999, where he lost to Randy Savage.

Dennis Rodman isn’t the first NBA legend to make an appearance in All Elite Wrestling. Back in March of 2021, Shaquille O’Neal teamed with a debuting Jade Cargill to defeat the team of Red Velvet and Cody Rhodes.
