Dean Ambrose Returning To WWE At WrestleMania 42?
Dean Ambrose (aka Jon Moxley) and his potential return to WWE always remains a topic of discussion. A new update has surfaced on the matter.
Ambrose departed from WWE in 2019 due to creative differences. He made his AEW debut, as Jon Moxley, in May of the same year, immediately establishing himself as one of the top stars in the promotion.
Despite his All Elite Wrestling contract reportedly expiring in 2027, fans keep wondering if the former Shield member could show up in WWE. The expectation only grows during WrestleMania season, and it is the same this year.
Dean Ambrose recently namedropped on WWE TV
On the March 23, 2026 edition of Monday Night RAW, Paul Heyman highlighted some of the biggest stars Brock Lesnar has defeated in his career. One of the names in the list was of Dean Ambrose, which got a loud pop from the fans in the arena.
This led to wild speculation about whether there was a hidden reason behind the sudden namedrop. Well, just like multiple times before, Ambrose’s name was mentioned just to generate a reaction from the WWE Universe.
On the latest edition of the Debunkathon, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful stated clearly that Dean Ambrose is returning to the Stamford-based promotion at WrestleMania 42.
“No, Jon Moxley is not coming back at WrestleMania.”
“There was Dean Ambrose. No, it wasn’t Dean Ambrose, it was Bobby Lashley, but no, it wasn’t Bobby Lashley.” – Paul Heyman
