Danhausen’s mystery partner was revealed at WWE Backlash.

This individual was neither of the prominent names that fans speculated about in the days leading up to the premium live event on Saturday.

The tag team match was the product of an ongoing feud between the former AEW star and the duo of The Miz and Kit Wilson.

The trio came face-to-face in multiple segments on SmackDown over several weeks, during which he even ‘cursed’ Miz, causing him to suffer several mishaps.

Even during a singles match with Wilson, he caused the pyro to go off on its own, resulting in a distraction and subsequent loss for Kit.

After constantly suffering humiliation at the hands of the face-painted superstar, The Miz was intent on making amends by agreeing to become his mentor.

However, the segment turned out to be a ruse as both he and Wilson attacked Danhausen before laying him out with a Skull-Crushing Finale.

It forced the newest WWE wrestler to approach Nick Aldis and demand a match against The Miz & Kit Wilson. While Aldis agreed to a tag match at Backlash, he bestowed upon him the responsibility of finding a tag team partner.

Danhausen’s Mystery Partner Revealed At Backlash

On Saturday, Danhausen brought with him a cloning machine, which he had been seen using backstage on the previous episode of SmackDown. It was also revealed that the machine had malfunctioned, putting him in a spot of bother.

In the meantime, WWE fans were all over the internet, talking about their mystery partner speculations, which ranged from John Cena to CM Punk and Grammy-winning artist, Jelly Roll.

However, at the premium live event, the mystery partner was revealed as a tiny version of Danhausen, who came to be known as Minihausen.

While the fans might not have immediately been pleased with the reveal, the match quality was pretty good, as Minihausen put on great offense for a good portion of the bout.

Following his Backlash victory, Danhausen spoke on Backlash Recap, where he mocked wrestling fans and media outlets about their mystery partner speculations.

Here’s the thing, people go ‘Oh, it’s confirmed it’s Cola-Man Punk, oh it’s confirmed it’s Oba Femi.’ They’re great, however… who said that? Who put that responsibility on me? I didn’t even want to find one [partner], why would I ask them?

It’s Jelly Roll, it’s Cola-Man Punk, it’s Oba,’ I saw these were confirmed stories by the way. All three within a week, all confirmed. I should’ve had all of them. [H/T: Ringside News]

True Identity Of Mystery Partner Potentially Revealed

Whether or not viewers liked the Backlash mystery partner reveal on Saturday is a matter of personal opinion.

Minutes later into the match, WWE even teased replacing Minihausen when Kit Wilson dumped him into the cloning machine again. But this only led to multiple Minihausen clones to emerge from the box and attack him.

A wrestling account on X cited PWInsider as the source, revealing that Minihausen was actually El Torito, who has previously worked in WWE and is currently a Lucha Libre AAA star, performing as a freelancer.
