Cody Rhodes Takes Brutal Shot At Seth Rollins Before WWE Crown Jewel

Cody Rhodes is set to battle Seth Rollins on Saturday at WWE Crown Jewel.

Over the last few weeks, both wrestlers have traded verbal jabs, with Rhodes reminding Rollins on one occasion of his 3-0 win/loss record over The Visionary.

On last week’s SmackDown, Rollins ignored The Oracle Paul Heyman’s advice about attacking Cody Rhodes, resulting in his plan massively backfiring.

During the October 6 taping of WWE RAW, Rollins and Heyman were involved in an intense backstage segment, with the World Heavyweight Champion doubting his ability to defeat The American Nightmare.

The veteran manager handed the 39-year-old a reality check about what could happen if he lost to Rhodes in Perth, Australia.

He said that Rollins would lose the trust of his stablemates and might even force Heyman to reevaluate his decision to align with him instead of Roman Reigns.

Cody Rhodes Continues To Verbally Attack Seth Rollins

Cody Rhodes is already in Australia and recently, appeared on ESPN’s First Take to chat about his match on October 10.

Rhodes was reminded by host Molly Qerim that Seth Rollins was his first opponent in WWE after returning to the promotion in 2022. She proceeded to ask him about his strategy for Saturday.

I’d say the big motivation is the big ring right here (shows the Crown Jewel ring). Once you get one of the Crown Jewel Championships, you keep that one forever. So, I got more digits here. I want to add another ring. And the best way to look at it is Seth’s a lot like those Bills teams that were going to the Super Bowls from the 90s. You thought, no way do they lose one, then two, then three, oh my gosh, maybe four in a row. Seth just…he doesn’t have what it takes to beat me. Nothing but respect for Seth Rollins, but I’m looking to take home another one of these rings. [0:34 onwards]
