Seth Rollins’ Big Plan Backfires On WWE SmackDown After Major Mistake

Seth Rollins & Paul Heyman WWE SmackDown

Seth Rollins almost left WWE SmackDown triumphant, but one big mistake changed everything.

The American Nightmare joined forces with Randy Orton tonight on SmackDown to square off with The Vision’s Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker in a tag team match.

After a fierce battle, Seth Rollins made a shocking appearance on the blue brand to interfere and stomp The Viper behind the referee’s back, allowing Reed to hit the WWE legend with a devastating Tsunami for the victory.

The Vision celebrated together in the ring after the match before leaving the squared circle, while Orton remained on his back. As Rollins and his teammates were leaving, Rhodes, who was taken out outside the ring by Breakker, returned to the ring to check on his tag team partner.

While The Visionary eyed Rhodes on his hands and knees in the ring, checking on Orton, he was tempted to take him out with a stomp. Although The Oracle Paul Heyman told him not to, Rollins rushed back into the ring.

However, The American Nightmare escaped the stomp and countered with a Cross Rhodes. Meanwhile, Heyman held back Reed and Breakker, preventing them from interfering as they watched in disbelief.

Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes Will Clash At WWE Crown Jewel

The World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins and the Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes are set to go head-to-head for the Crown Jewel Championship next weekend at Crown Jewel in Perth, Australia.

Since The American Nightmare’s return to the Stamford-based company in 2022, the two superstars have squared off three times, all of which ended in Rhodes’ victory. It would be interesting to see if The Visionary would finally succeed in breaking that streak next Saturday.
