Cody Rhodes’ Sister’s 4-Word Reaction To Randy Orton’s WWE SmackDown Attack
Cody Rhodes was brutally attacked on WWE SmackDown, and his sister shared her reaction to what Randy Orton did.
In the main event segment of WWE SmackDown in Phoenix, the Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and his WrestleMania 42 challenger, Elimination Chamber match winner Randy Orton, were supposed to sign the contract for their WrestleMania match.
The festivities started with Cody Rhodes talking about how excited he was to wrestle his friend and wrestling mentor, Randy Orton. Cody talked about how when he came back to WWE, he wasn’t with his brother or his wife, but he had Randy here, and Randy is like family to him. Cody signed the contract first.
Randy Orton would go on to express how tough it was to face Cody because of their past, and Cody replied to Randy as if to say that he wants Randy to bring his best at WrestleMania. Orton would express that he needs this, referring to a 15th WWE World Title reign, which would put him just two behind John Cena’s 17 World Title reigns.
After Orton signed the contract, that’s when The Viper snapped. Orton sent Cody crashing into the commentary table. Orton grabbed the steel steps and hit Cody with the steps! Cody was bleeding from the forehead all over his white shirt. SmackDown GM Nick Aldis went up to Orton, so Orton shoved Aldis down.
The assault continued as Orton sent Cody into the steel steps. Orton beat up Cody with punches on the commentary table. There were fans chanting “Randy” even though Orton was being very heelish with this attack. Orton put Cody’s head against the steel steps at ringside. Jelly Roll tried to calm Orton down, but Orton shoved Jelly down. Orton looked at Cody’s blood that was on him, and Orton went to the back. There were WWE Officials, referees, and GM Aldis checking on Cody as they called for medical to get out there.
Even though it appeared as though he had left, Orton showed up at ringside with a steel chair, and he hit Cody with a steel chair onto the steel steps. Orton hit the steps to make the noise, and the idea was that it was a chair shot to the head. Orton went back into the ring, grabbed the WWE Title, and put it in his hands as he sat down on a chair in the ring.
Following Randy Orton’s heinous attack on Cody Rhodes, there were still some fans chanting “Randy” for Orton as Cody was getting checked on at ringside. SmackDown ended with Orton holding the WWE Title in his hands while the WWE Champion, Rhodes, was a bloody mess at ringside.
Randy Orton’s Actions Led To An Interesting Response From Cody Rhodes’s Sister
Writing on X in a post that took place as soon as the SmackDown main event took place, Cody Rhodes’ sister Teil wrote this about Randy Orton’s actions:

It’s a valid point because they call Randy Orton “The Viper” for a reason.
