Cody Rhodes Mocks Scotland In Message To Drew McIntyre

Cody Rhodes

Cody Rhodes took a sly dig at Drew McIntyre by dragging his home country of Scotland during an interview.

Rhodes is in contention to challenge McIntyre for the Undisputed WWE Championship at WrestleMania 42, but before, he must win the Elimination Chamber match on Saturday.

At the namesake premium live event on February 28, The American Nightmare will face Randy Orton, Trick Williams, LA Knight, Je’Von Evans, and Jey Uso.

The rules of the match involve two wrestlers starting, with the four remaining challengers secured inside individual pods that open one at a time after equal intervals. The wrestler to gain the last pinfall wins.

While promoting the PLE, Cody Rhodes appeared on ESPN’s Get Up, where he was asked for a response to Drew McIntyre’s constant jibes at him.

Claiming that he was not worried about the Scotsman, the 40-year-old took a shot at the latter’s country in response.

Well, I mean, we’re here in the home of sports. Let’s think about the Olympics that just took place. US, what’s it, 33 medals? This is Drew McIntyre, and then Scotland doesn’t even have it. They go into the Great Britain column only at five. That’s all we need to know here. [2:02 onwards]

Cody Rhodes Calls For More House Shows From WWE And TKO

WWE house shows are a great way for the promotion’s talents to interact with audiences in locations where it does not often organize Raw and SmackDown tapings.

During his recent chat with The Undertaker on his What Do You Wanna Talk About? podcast, Cody Rhodes urged the Stamford promotion and TKO to book more house shows.

Palm Springs—this show we did that wasn’t televised was just the most wonderful crowd, and the crowd was hot, and just magical stuff happened. I really want WWE to continue to do more and more and more of these. And I know that’s not necessarily good for all the talent, but that’s when magic happens.

Magic happens when you have to pull something out of your hat in a moment when there’s no net underneath you.
