Cody Rhodes has been in the business long enough to know that fan reactions always mean something.

The WWE Universe is strongly opinionated. If they like a segment, they speak for it, and if they don’t, the fandom does not hold back on social media.

At the moment, it seems that superstars sometimes dismiss the opinions on social media, or rather, pick and choose which platform they would like to believe.

Cody Rhodes has a message for WWE stars dismissing online reactions

While speaking on The Brandon Davis Show, Cody Rhodes revealed that he would like to let his peers know that, whether it’s X or Instagram, both sets of fans are right. However, it does not mean every reaction needs to be met with a change in story.

Everyone — if I see one more of my peers go on a podcast and say social’s stupid, ‘I don’t have a phone,’ or ‘X is wrong but Instagram’s right’ — in a way, and I am a polarizing wrestler who has seen my share of criticism, I hate to break this to you: they’re all right.

You have to decide which way you’re going. You have to lead your story. You can’t get gun-shy and go, ‘Well, I’m going to change it for them.’ Because the finish of your story will determine if you told a good story.

Currently, the WWE Universe is awaiting more information on Cody Rhodes’ condition after Randy Orton turned heel on him and left him bleeding on SmackDown.
