CM Punk, Paul Heyman Among WWE Talent Responding To Tom Brady’s Insult
CM Punk and Paul Heyman were among the WWE personalities ready to respond to Tom Brady’s “cute” dig.
Logan Paul is a WWE superstar who isn’t afraid to speak his mind to get attention. During a recent episode of Paul’s IMPAULSIVE podcast to promote the Fanatics Flag Football Classic, a star-studded event set to take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on March 21st, future NFL Hall of Famer Tom Brady had some interesting words for Paul, who will be part of the event along with other celebrities and NFL players.
Brady: “I’m actually a little worried for you. You’re a good athlete… but these guys are on another level.”
Paul: “Can Saquon Barkley do a flip off the top rope?”
Responding to that, Brady called WWE stars “cute” and said football is real competition, which is obviously a shot at WWE as scripted entertainment.
“It’s cute, I love WWE. It’s very cute. But this is real football. This is real competition. These are guys who’ve been doing this their whole lives. This isn’t a gimmick.”
Logan Paul would then go on to claim that NFL players would “s**t the bed” if they tried to be WWE superstars, which is another way of saying they would fail.
Paul Heyman Doesn’t Give Tom Brady Credit
Sports Illustrated has posted a video on social media where they spoke to various WWE personalities about what Tom Brady said. It led to some interesting replies.
Drew McIntyre: I don’t get annoyed, it just comes from a place of ignorance.
Paul Heyman: What’s Tom Brady done? He’s thrown a football across a field that was caught by Gronkowski. Gronkowski deserves the credit. Belichick and his girlfriend deserves the credit. But, Tom Brady? [Nope.]”
CM Punk: “What’s wrong with cute? I’m cute, Tom.”
Tyler Breeze: “I would love to see Tom Brady step in and see what it actually is and see how cute he actually thinks it is. As you know, it is tough.”
Oba Femi: “Those who think it’s cute and it’s fluffy and it’s sweet and stuff, you can come and try and lace up some boots. Then, let’s watch you puke.”
Paul Heyman has also warned Tom Brady in the past, saying he has no idea what Heyman and Paul would say to him if Brady showed up on Monday Night Raw.
