CM Punk & Cody Rhodes Set For Huge WWE Raw Showdown

So far their paths have not crossed in WWE but it was inevitable and finally, fans now know when CM Punk and Cody Rhodes will come face-to-face.

Cody Rhodes left AEW in February 2022, just a few short months after CM Punk initially joined the company to great fanfare. Punk’s arrival meant one less space in the main event scene of Tony Khan’s company and Rhodes’ head may have been turned by thoughts of a return to the company he left in 2016 to finish a certain story.

After Rhodes left AEW and returned to WWE, things quickly unravelled for Punk following his fight with The Elite in September 2022, and CM Punk was finally fired by AEW for his part in another backstage brawl, this time with Jack Perry at All In in August 2023.

CM Punk shocked the world when he returned to WWE at Survivor Series 2023, and his return looks like it might mean one less space in the WrestleMania main event scene, which Cody Rhodes might just have an issue with as he looks to win the Royal Rumble again and this time win the WWE Universal Championship.

CM Punk Wants A Word With Cody Rhodes

Taking to social media, CM Punk issued the challenge for Rhodes to ask him what he wants to talk about and WWE has since confirmed the two men are set for an epic showdown when Raw heads to New Orleans.

Both men have declared for the men’s Royal Rumble match with Punk currently the favourite to win the bout. Surprisingly, one AEW star is among the favourites to win the WWE Royal Rumble as well.
