Major AEW Star Among Favourites To Win WWE Royal Rumble

The future of one top AEW star still remains uncertain but they’ve emerged as one of the favourites to win WWE’s Royal Rumble.

The Royal Rumble is just around the corner in WWE and is one of the most highly anticipated nights of the year as fans hope for a shock entrant or two among the Rumble matches. Tropicana Field could play host to one of the biggest surprises ever if the bookmakers are to be believed.

Former AEW World Champion MJF lost that title at Worlds End to Samoa Joe and he has not been seen since on AEW television. MJF could require surgery for his injuries leading to a substantial time away but his future still remains unclear. MJF has claimed his AEW contract ended at the end of 2023 meaning he would now be a free agent although there is a belief from some that the two sides had signed a longer deal some time ago

MJF A Favourite To Win Royal Rumble

However, the possibility that MJF is a free agent has got to the bookmakers and BetOnline has The Salt of the Earth listed as the joint seventh favourite to win the men’s Rumble match. MJF is at +1000 odds which is the same as Drew McIntyre and Jey Uso who are both prominently featured stars on Monday Night Raw.

CM Punk is the favourite to win the bout at +150 with Cody Rhodes slipping into second favourite at +275 with Intercontinental Champion Gunther third favourite at +300. Randy Orton is at +600 to become a three-time Rumble winner with LA Knight and The Rock behind him at +700.
