AEW history is now available to the masses.

As reported by Wrestling News and noted by several fans on social media, the first-ever episode of AEW Dynamite is now available to stream on the TBS app and several on-demand cable systems in the United States. Prior to this, only recent episodes from All Elite Wrestling’s flagship show were able to be watched again without an AEW Plus subscription on FITE TV.

Sadly for UK viewers, they are unable to watch the debut show while waiting for All In to come to Wembley Stadium. ITV X, which is the home for catch-up AEW, contains only the previous 13 episodes of Dynamite.

It is unknown whether the move is AEW gradually adding their back catalogue to a streaming service or if this was done to coincide with the celebrations of Dynamite reaching its landmark debut episode. It should also be noted that President Tony Khan has previously stated that his dream would be for weekly AEW programming to appear on a major streaming service.

What Happened On The First Episode Of AEW Dynamite?

Wrestling history was made on October 2nd 2019, as the debut episode of AEW Dynamite aired on the TNT Network. Not only was it the first time that new wrestling content had aired on the Turner Network in over 20 years, but this was also the first promotion that had the star power and the budget to be a legitimate threat to WWE.

The first-ever match saw Cody Rhodes defeat Sammy Guevara, with Chris Jericho attacking The American Nightmare after the bell. Jericho would bookend the show, debuting The Inner Circle faction. Also on the show, Riho was crowned the first ever AEW Women’s Champion after defeating Nyla Rose.
