CJ Perry appeared on AEW Collision with a message about her future.

Wrestling fans are very familiar with CJ Perry due to her long run in WWE as Lana. She worked for WWE from 2013 until her release in 2021.

While in WWE, Perry was the on-screen manager of Rusev, who is now known as Miro in AEW. The couple ended up falling in love and marrying in July 2016 as chronicled on WWE’s Total Divas show.

At the AEW All Out pay-per-view last weekend in Chicago, CJ Perry made her AEW debut to assist Miro when he was getting beaten up by Powerhouse Hobbs after Miro beat Hobbs in a very physical match featuring a lot of “Meat” chants.

Following CJ Perry’s debut at All Out, it was reported that she wasn’t under an AEW deal yet although that could be something that happens in the future.

In the early days of the Lana character, she was a woman that dressed in business suits while rarely smiling and coming off as a negative or cold person.

For the first time, CJ Perry appeared on AEW on Collision on September 9th where she delivered this promo saying she felt abandoned by her husband Miro.

“You took the righteous road. You left me. You said you weren’t gonna return until you got gold. Miro, when you lost the TNT Championship, you lost yourself. Last week at All Out, all I wanted to do was surprise you and prove that I have your back to help you become champion again. God, you are so stubborn. Not the good stubborn, the bad stubborn. Now that I think about it, you truly have forsaken your god, your gold, and your hot, flexible wife.”

“Oh, Miro, you really want to go down this path? I respect that. But I’m gonna have to go down mine. I’m so torn, so torn. I sat on the sidelines for two years, tearing myself down, breaking myself apart, and asking myself do I have what it takes. Every fabric of my being is yelling, ‘Don’t leave until you find out.’ I once was the coldest manager in all of wrestling, and I think I want to do it again.”

As mentioned above, it hasn’t been announced if CJ Perry will be in AEW again, but based on what she said in that promo, it sounds like she has a plan to be a manager again, this time in AEW. We will have to see what comes next in the weeks ahead.
