Chris Jericho Outlines Plans For AEW Tag Team Titles

Chris Jericho makes his entrance in AEW.

Chris Jericho has revealed that his pursuit of the AEW Tag Team Championship is not yet over.

Jericho and partner Kenny Omega, collectively known as the ‘Golden Jets’ had earned a shot at the AEW Tag Team titles are defeating The Young Bucks at AEW Full Gear on 18th November.

Excitement about the title opportunity soon faded, however, when it was revealed that Kenny Omega is set for a lengthy spell away from the ring after being diagnosed with diverticulitis.

Speaking on AEW Collision on 23rd December, Jericho stated that Omega’s absence would not stop his hunt for the titles and even hinted at a new partner in his search for the gold:

“You know, the Golden Jets are on hiatus, Kenny Omega is out indefinitely, but I’m not forfeiting anything. I’ve got a signed contract for an AEW World Tag Team Championship match against you two.

I don’t know when it’s going to be or who my partner is going to be, but I’ll find somebody, and when I do, I’ll take those Tag Team Titles away from you. And that…is the absolute truth.”
