Why Chris Jericho Almost Fought Ex-WWE Star Backstage
This former WWE star had won a belt that Jericho wore around his waist, almost sparking a fight.
Everyone knows former WWE star Johnathan Coachman as a backstage announcer who would get bullied by the likes of The Rock and would occasionally get in the ring with some major names, but only sometimes.
Coachman was never a proper active wrestler, but on his YouTube show Coach & Bro, he mentions that he was a former Tag Team Champion. A fan called this out, not understanding how that would be possible since it’s not officially listed by WWE and doesn’t come up in Google search.
The fan posted on X about it, saying:
I listen to Coach and Bro regularly. I’m not trying to give you a hard time Coach. You always say you were tag team champion and I do understand your point.
He followed it up with a screengrab of his Google search for the fact. Coach responded to him, saying that it was indeed true that he held the tag team gold along with William Regal after defeating La Resistance, and asked the fan to trust him that it happened.
He mentions an interesting fact that WWE Legend Chris Jericho wore his belt backstage, something that almost started a fight between the two men.
Do you want to believe the guy who actually did it or some random site that has no clue. Me and Steven Regal lost them in Winnipeg to La Resistance. Trust and believe it happened. And almost got in a fight with Jericho for wearing the belt around backstage like a rookie. If you don’t believe it now nothing I can do for you. Thank you for supporting @TheCoachandBro

Chris Jericho Challenged By AEW Star
Chris Jericho’s possible return to WWE has been a hot topic in the rumour mills for months now, but news is out that his absence from AEW TV means that his contract will be extended beyond its expiration date of December 31st 2025.
In light of this news, former WWE and now AEW star Ricochet challenged Jericho to a match for his AEW National Title by posting and tagging Y2J on social media.
Rumours have also slowed down after the mystery crate that WWE had presented for the Elimination Chamber did not have Chris Jericho in it, but revealed newly signed WWE star Danhausen instead.
