Chelsea Green Confirms Role In New Movie

Chelsea Green

Chelsea Green has confirmed her latest movie role.

The highly entertaining WWE Superstar has announced that she will take on the role of Claire Crosby in the upcoming theatrical release ‘A Bluegrass Christmas’.

The movie also stars veteran actors Shaun Johnston and John Tench, who is arguably best remembered for his role in the 2010 movie ‘The Tooth Fairy’, which starred Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson.

Green discussed her upcoming big screen performance during a recent appearance on the Lightweights Podcast, revealing that principal photography took place in her home country of Canada back in November 2023:

“I actually just filmed a Christmas movie that’s gonna come out this year. So we filmed it in Ontario (Canada). We filmed it in November… it might come out this summer. Christmas in July, or might come out for Christmas. It’s called ‘A Bluegrass Christmas’.”

The former Impact Knockouts Champion went on to explain that fans should not expect to hear her vocal talents during the movie, despite playing the role of a country singer:

“I was a country singer. I don’t sing though. Thank God. Yeah (they had someone sing for me). Nobody needs to hear me sing. I’m telling you, nobody (she laughed). Not good. But that is the goal. The goal is definitely to lean more into the acting side of things.”

Chelsea Green Eagerly Awaiting Return Of Former Tag Team Partner

Chelsea Green has featured largely in tag team action since her January 2023 return to WWE and became one half of the WWE Womens Tag Team Champions alongside partner Sonya Deville when the duo defeated Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez to lift the titles on the 17th July edition of Raw.

Piper Niven stepped in to become Green’s partner after Deville suffered a devastating ACL injury on the 28th July episode of SmackDown, with the new pairing holding on the belts until losing their Championships to Kayden Carter and Katana Chance on the 11th December episode of Raw.

Green has backed Deville to return from the injury stronger than ever, recently revealing that she was counting down the days until her former partner made a much anticipated return.
