Charlotte Flair Speaks Out On Backstage Heat With WWE Champion
Charlotte Flair recently opened up about this WWE star and her legitimate heat with her.
Charlotte Flair has made a name for herself in WWE. As one of the women from among the first wave of wrestlers who went from being divas to serious wrestling superstars in a time period that saw a major shift in the landscape of women’s wrestling, starting in the mid-2010s, Flair has earned her stripes in WWE with 14 WWE Women’s World Titles to her name and multiple other accolades along the way.
Another star from the same era and one of the women’s division’s top performers today is Becky Lynch. The current Women’s Intercontinental Champion plays an egotistical heel on TV and calls herself the greatest female wrestler of all time. Lynch and Flair have feuded in the past, and Flair recently opened up about backstage heat with Lynch during their famously intense rivalry in an interview she did with TMZ’s Inside the Ring.
Charlotte Flair Opens Up About Becky Lynch Rivalry
Charlotte Flair said in the interview that the competitive tension between the two women, both trying to be on top, helped them reach heights of stardom and success in the company. She claimed Lynch is an Alpha female like herself, and the pair had tension because of competition.
I think with Becky and I, we both wanted to be on top. It was just like with Sasha and I. We both wanted to be on top.
Anytime you get two alphas in the room and they want to be the best, there’s gonna be tension. And I think that’s how it should be.

You want that. You want competition. Competition breeds competition. It’s how you get better.
Becky Lynch will be facing Sol Rucain a mach at the upcoming Saturday Night’s Main Event PLE on May 23rd.
