Charlotte Flair has been chasing her 15th World Title reign for quite some time. This week’s SmackDown, she was ready to move one step closer to her dream, but a major WWE setback cost her that opportunity.

On the June 19 edition of Friday Night SmackDown, Charlotte Flair took on Liv Morgan in the semifinals of the Queen of the Ring Tournament 2026. Ahead of the match, Jade Cargill, Michin, and B-Fab attacked Flair backstage and injured her left knee.

Despite the injury, she pleaded with Nick Khan to let her compete in the match and wrestled as scheduled, even though she was in pain.

Unfortunately for the Queen, Liv Morgan targeted her injured left knee throughout the bout and ultimately made her tap out to advance to the finals of the tournament. Morgan will now face IYO SKY, who beat Raquel Rodriguez on Raw this week, for a spot in the finals.

Following the heartbreaking loss, a fan’s camera caught Charlotte Flair heading backstage. In the video clip, Alexa Bliss can be seen helping Charlotte Flair to the back. While doing so, Flair also took the time to interact with fans sitting at ringside along the way.

On the men’s side, Jey Uso beat Je’Von Evans in the semifinals of the King of the Ring Tournament to secure his spot in the final round. The Bloodline member will face another finalist, Oba Femi, who beat Dominik Mysterio on Monday Night Raw earlier this week.

The King and Queen of the Ring tournament finals will take place at Night of Champions on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is the second consecutive year that Night of Champions will be held at Riyadh’s Kingdom Arena.
