Bully Ray Names 27-Year-Old Star As John Cena’s Final WWE Opponent

John Cena WWE SmackDown

John Cena has a handful of dates left in WWE.

From the 36 dates dedicated to his retirement tour, Cena has fulfilled 25, his last appearance coming on the August 8 episode of SmackDown.

He opened the show and discussed the attack on him by Brock Lesnar on Night 2 of the SummerSlam PLE.

The 17-time champion also said that he was afraid, but his experience has taught him to overcome such obstacles. He was then confronted by YouTube star and former United States Champion Logan Paul.

It was finalized that the two will fight it out at the upcoming Clash in Paris PLE on August 31.

With John Cena’s time in the World Wrestling Entertainment winding down, new names, alongside Brock Lesnar, continue to emerge as his final challengers.

The 48-year-old’s next scheduled appearance is on August 22 in Dublin, Ireland.

Bully Ray Wants John Cena’s Last Opponent To Be Bron Breakker

Former WWE star and Hall of Famer Bully Ray recently shared his opinion on the Busted Open podcast about who he thought should be John Cena’s final opponent.

“Bron Breakker,” he replied when asked about John Cena’s ‘perfect’ opponent.

He also stated that this match will not just be the former champion’s last match, but will also carve the path for the 27-year-old.

I don’t want to see Seth Rollins in there with John. I don’t want to see Randy Orton in there with John. I don’t want to see Cody.

I don’t want to see any of that stuff. I want to see somebody that can benefit from this match … I’m sorry, I want to see somebody that can benefit from this moment. Because the entire thing is going to be about a moment.

The match is going to be insignificant. The moment is going to be when the bell rings and you are standing across the ring from John Cena in his last match in Boston. That’s the moment. You’re also going to be the guy in the ring with John Cena when the finish happens.

Meanwhile, Cena was called out by a former rival for a final match. Read about it here.
