Bryan Danielson On Merits Of Crushing Someone’s Trachea

Bryan Danielson

Whilst known as one of the best submission grapplers in the game, Bryan Danielson has a particular hold he feels there’s a real time and place for.

Everyone would be on the giving end rather than the receiving during their matches, although ‘The American Dragon’ Bryan Danielson seems to enjoy both sides more than most having recently admitted that he enjoys bleeding during matches and gets excited when he gets chopped.

Then when it comes to dishing out the offense, Danielson seems to have an extra gear which most aren’t able to reach, where he can become more vicious and violent than most inside the squared circle.

In a recent interview on Busted Open Radio which took place before AEW All Out, Bryan Danielson discussed how he can be a calm person for the majority of the time, but someone’s trachea is at risk when the switch gets flipped.

I feel like, for 99% of my life, I’m super calm. Then, when the occasion merits, sometimes you have to crush somebody’s trachea. There is a certain amount of satisfaction to getting under right here [the throat] and going [cracking sound]. There’s nothing mean about it. It’s just satisfying.

Bryan Danielson’s next opportunity to inflict this kind of misery on an opponent will come at next Wednesday’s special Grand Slam edition of Dynamite, where he will face Jon Moxley in the final of the tournament to crown a new AEW World Champion, having defeated Chris Jericho on this week’s episode to advance.
