WWE’s biggest premium live event, WrestleMania, is just around the corner, and Bron Baker is still absent from television.

Breakker suffered a serious sports hernia injury in February during a segment on Monday Night Raw after he flipped over an announce table. Shortly after, he had to undergo emergency surgery and spent February and March in intensive rehabilitation at the WWE Performance Center.

With WrestleMania 42 only weeks away, a new report has shed light on Breakker’s status ahead of the Showcase of the Immortals. According to Fightful Select, Bron Breakker was recently cleared to return to the ring.

As per reports, WWE had originally planned to book Bron Breakker against Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 42 this year. However, given Breakker’s uncertain injury status, WWE had to pivot in another direction. But that does not mean Seth Rollins vs. Bron Breakker has been scrapped entirely.

Bron Breakker Vs. Seth Rollins Will Take Place In The Future: Reports

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, WWE will do a Seth Rollins vs. Bron Breakker match sometime in the near future, but with a proper television build.

The idea of Rollins vs. Breakker is very much alive, but they want the proper television build time. The entire storyline over the past few weeks with Rollins and Paul Heyman was always to build to Gunther choking Rollins out in Madison Square Garden.

For now, Seth Rollins is set to face Gunther at WrestleMania this year. The match was booked after The Ring General returned on the March 30, 2026, episode of Monday Night Raw and brutally attacked Seth Rollins, who was about to launch a vicious assault on Paul Heyman.

The crowd at Madison Square Garden saw Gunther throw The Visionary against the announce table, and then put him to sleep with a sleeper hold in the middle of the ring.
