Britt Baker has been absent from AEW TV for over 14 months since her last match, which was a victory over Penelope Ford on the November 13, 2024, episode of AEW Dynamite.

She is currently under an AEW contract, which will run through at least fall 2026. She is medically cleared and healthy with no reported injuries, and recently removed all references to AEW, which led people to speculate that she may have had a fallout with Tony Khan.

But the AEW President confirmed in 2025 that she is still with AEW, attributing her absence to limited roster spots rather than any personal fallout, despite speculation about tension.

Britt Baker Might Not Return To AEW TV

That said, on the January 3, 2026, edition of the Fightful Select Q&A Show, Sean Ross Sapp reported that AEW had no creative plans for Britt Baker despite her clearance. He added that he’s heard no internal discussions about her return in a long time and doubts she’ll appear again, even as her deal runs into 2026.

“At this point, I don’t think that we’re going to see her back. Her deal goes well into 2026, but it’s been over a year. And at least the last time I spoke with her, she indicated that she was healthy—and that’s been like ages and ages ago.”

“I’ve heard no discussions regarding her in a long time outside of when we ask on media calls. I just… I don’t think it’s going to happen.”

According to the latest reports, WWE and Triple H have been interested in signing Britt Baker since early 2025, and it is rumored that she’ll end up in WWE after her AEW contract runs out.
