Breaking: Tony Khan Threatens To Strip Top AEW Star Of His Title On Dynamite
A top AEW star got a rude awakening on Dynamite tonight.
The Wednesday night show this week started with MJF arriving in the arena and learning that he will defend his gold against Darby Allin. The latter earned the opportunity after his win over Andrade at Dynasty 2026.
It looked like the match would kick off the in-ring action, but MJF had other plans.
AEW Dynamite main event announced
While Darby Allin was all ready for the AEW World Title clash, MJF was not. He charged down the ring and claimed that he would not wrestle in an impromptu match.
MJF boasted about his money and threatened to sue Aubrey Edwards, Justin Roberts, Tony Khan, Warner Bros. Discovery, AEW, and every fan who lived in Washington.
MJF claimed his back hurt after his match against Kenny Omega at Dynasty and wanted it checked by medical personnel. The Devil then stated that fans love Allin because he is good, not great.
The Devil felt that Allin is not ready for a reign as an AEW World Champion. Darby Allin responded with a fired-up promo, saying he is ready.
Bryan Danielson interrupted proceedings. He mentioned that Tony Khan agreed with MJF about the unfairness of an impromptu match. Hence, the AEW World Title match will be the main event of the show.
If MJF refuses to compete, he will be stripped of the world championship. Darby Allin vowed to defeat The Salt of the Earth with a side headlock takeover.
Despite @The_MJF‘s protestations, the AEW World Championship match will happen TONIGHT in the MAIN EVENT. If MJF doesn’t fight @DarbyAllin, he’ll be stripped of the AEW World Championship!
