Breaking: Massive WWE Title Match Announced For WrestleMania 42
This week’s episode of WWE SmackDown made some major strides on the Road to WrestleMania as General Manager, Nick Aldis, announced two more matches for the Show of Shows.
The first match added to the card for WrestleMania 42 will see Jacob Fatu and Drew McIntyre fight each other in an unsanctioned match after weeks of trying to tear each other up.
Later in the night, Aldis also confirmed that the WWE United States Championship will be defended on the Showcase of the Immortals next month after a new champion was crowned tonight.
Sami Zayn to defend his WWE US Title at WrestleMania 42
At the start of the show, Nick Aldis informed Trick Williams that he would be involved in a match at WrestleMania 42, while Sami Zayn, who’s been at odds with Trick, didn’t have a spot initially.
He used that as motivation and defeated Carmelo Hayes for the United States Title after answering his open challenge. After winning the title, Zayn was congratulated by Aldis backstage.
He even informed his newly crowned United States Champion that he will get his match at WrestleMania 42, as he’s going to defend the US Title against Trick Williams next month.
