Booker T Thinks Ring Of Honor Should Be “Scrapped”

Booker T cuts a promo

WWE Hall of Famer Booker T says that he thinks Ring of Honor under Tony Khan should be scrapped as the idea of running AEW and ROH all year would “blow his freaking mind.”

Speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T gave his forthright thoughts on why he thinks running ROH as well as AEW is simply too much for Tony Khan and gives an indication of what he’d do with Ring of Honor:

“I think it would really be hard for Tony Khan to run AEW Dynamite, Rampage, and a totally different organization in ROH, house shows, as well as TV, as well as having a strong enough roster to be able to create different storylines, as opposed to the storyline that you’re creating on AEW Rampage and Dynamite.”

“It would just blow his freaking mind. His stack would just blow off trying to think about 52 weeks out of the year for three different shows and I don’t know how many guys are under contract. Can you imagine that?”

“For me personally, the brand would be scrapped and the archive would be used for AEW promo packages and whatnot. But as far as trying to create an ROH brand to where you’re competing against Dynamite as well as Rampage, I just think you’re putting a whole lot on your plate there. I don’t think it’s possible, to be honest.”

Tony Khan took over as owner of Ring of Honor in March 2022 with the company looking at going on indefinite hiatus. The promotion has held two shows under the ROH banner while under Khan’s leadership with the company’s titles integrated into AEW for the time being.

Chris Jericho defeated Claudio Castagnoli at Dynamite Grand Slam in New York City to become ROH World Champion for the first time in his illustrious career.
