Bobby Lashley has had The Street Profits by his side for several months and now it seems WWE has a name ready to go for the trio.
It was way back in July 2023 that Lashley first approached Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford with the chance to be taken under the former WWE Champion’s wing. The Street Profits soon accepted shedding many of the aspects that made them one of WWE’s most popular tag teams and developing a new, vicious edge.
Things have not been plain sailing for the trio, however, with Lashley growing frustrated at The Profits’ lack of success in the ring but the group is persevering together.
WrestleVotes has now reported that Lashley and The Street Profits are to be known collectively as The Pride, although the reveal of that name was postponed from the 5th of January edition of SmackDown for unknown reasons:
There were plans in place to name the Bobby Lashley / Street Profits faction on last week’s SmackDown, which got axed at the last second for unknown reasons. I’m told those plans are still tentative as the direction of the trio could be shifting. The planned name for the group is “The Pride.”
Bobby Lashley & Street Profits Attacked On WWE SmackDown
Despite their name not being revealed on the New Year’s Revolution edition of SmackDown, The Pride was still on the show declaring that 2024 would be their year. That might prove to be the case but it certainly wasn’t their night as they were taken out by Karrion Kross and the returning Authors of Pain.
Bobby Lashley has expressed his frustration at missing out on WrestleMania 39 but will no doubt be hoping that WrestleMania 40 will see him on the show.
