Becky Lynch Vows To Retire Former WWE Champion At Elimination Chamber In Chicago

Call it mind games or pure emotions, but Becky Lynch has made up her mind to retire AJ Lee.

A couple of weeks ago, Lee secured her first title shot in over a decade after returning to WWE in September 2025.

The 38-year-old star immediately picked up a feud with the Women’s Intercontinental Champion, who had humiliated her husband, CM Punk, a couple of times by slapping him.

Her return set up a mixed tag match at Wrestlepalooza, with Lee and Punk teaming up against Lynch and her husband, Seth Rollins.

Lee and Punk won when the Irish wrestler tapped out to Lee’s Black Widow submission.

A few weeks later, AJ Lee went on to cost Becky Lynch her Women’s Intercontinental Championship to Maxxine Dupri. While Lynch managed to reclaim the title, she has not been able to get Lee off her back.

The Elimination Chamber PLE will take place on February 28 in Chicago, which is the hometown of CM Punk and AJ Lee.

Ahead of her title defense, Becky Lynch went on a tirade on X, vowing to retire the former Divas Champion at the Saturday event.

I can’t wait to HUMILIATE AJ Lee in front of her family and friends next SATURDAY!!! She will be SO EMBARRASSED that she will retire from wrestling FOR GOOD! To be honest, nobody wanted her back anyway, that’s why she is an ABSOLUTE JOKE! Little does SHE know, CHICAGO LOVES ME!!! I will probably get the MOST cheers and love from the crowd at the United Center, way more than that PUNY PHIL!!! Chicago is and always will be a BIG BECKY BELIEVER TOWN!
