Becky Lynch Earning Incredible Reputation Among WWE Peers

WWE fans may hate Becky Lynch, but she is beloved where it really matters.

The Women’s Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch was in a big match at WWE Wrestlepalooza as she teamed up with her World Heavyweight Champion husband, Seth Rollins, against CM Punk and his wife, AJ Lee.

For Lee, it was her first WWE match in ten years. Even though Lee is considered in the prime of her wrestling career at 38 years old, a long layoff of ten years is not easy for anybody, no matter who you are.

As one of the featured matches at Wrestlepalooza, it was also the longest match of the show, at around 30 minutes. In a match full of twists and turns, Lee won her comeback match by making Lynch tap out to the Black Widow submission.

The win by Lee could set her up for a Women’s Intercontinental Title match against Lynch in the near future.

Becky Lynch Earning Reputation For Bringing Out The Best In Opponents

Behind the scenes, Fightful Select reports that WWE sources felt the Wrestlepalooza match went very well and Lynch was given specific credit for how she worked with Lee in AJ’s first match in over ten years.

There were several WWE sources, including wrestlers, who pointed out that Lynch has earned a reputation for specializing in wrestling people who have had long layoffs between matches. It was mentioned that Lynch faced WWE Hall of Famer Lita at Elimination Chamber 2022, WWE HOFer Trish Stratus in multiple matches in a 2023 feud, and WWE HOFer Nikki Bella in a match at Clash in Paris in August as well.

Within WWE, people within the company claim that Lynch thinks of it as a welcome challenge to show that she can bring out the best in her opponents and she can excel in situations like that.

It was added by Fightful that several women’s wrestlers who have made comebacks have asked to work with Lynch.

When Becky Lynch does promos on WWE TV about being the best women’s wrestler ever and she cites media outlets, she may be referencing her strong reputation within the company as well.
