Becky Lynch Wants To Compete In Unique WWE Gimmick Match For First Time

Becky Lynch has a particular match in mind when it comes to what WWE match she wants to compete in for the first time.

During her incredible WWE career that has seen her become an all-time great superstar, “Big Time” Becky Lynch has competed in all kinds of gimmick matches.

Lynch has won the Women’s Royal Rumble while also competing in Money in the Bank, TLC matches, Hell in a Cell, Steel Cage, Street Fights and many others. However, there is one specific WWE gimmick match that Lynch hasn’t been in.

In an interview with the Casual Podcast with Brad Tate, Becky Lynch expressed a desire to compete in an Elimination Chamber match for the first time.

“There is a big ol premium live event coming up, but first there is Elimination Chamber. Did you know that I’ve never been in Elimination Chamber? I’ve been in many matches, nearly all of the types of matches one could do in a wrestling ring, but I’ve not been in Elimination Chamber.”

“So, I’m looking at that and thinking maybe it’s time Becky Lynch makes her debut in an Elimination Chamber match, maybe she wins, and maybe she goes on to main event WrestleMania once again.”

This year’s Elimination Chamber event takes place on February 24th at Optus Stadium in Perth, Australia.

History has shown that for people who don’t win the Royal Rumble matches, the Elimination Chamber match is a way to get a title shot at WrestleMania.

Becky Lynch has made it clear that she wants to face Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania 40, so to get there she will need to win Royal Rumble or Elimination Chamber to get that title shot.

Becky Lynch Suffers Defeat On WWE Raw Day 1

In the first WWE match of the year on Day 1 Raw, Becky Lynch faced off against her rival Nia Jax in a match that was built up for most of December.

Unfortunately for Lynch, Jax picked up the big win by hitting an uppercut Lynch that knocked a leaping Lynch down. Jax hit her Annihilator splash on Lynch to pick up the win.
