Becky Lynch On Brink Of Free Agency, No WWE Deal Agreed

Becky Lynch

Becky Lynch will soon be a free agent.

On May 3rd it was revealed Seth Rollins had finally signed a new WWE contract after months of speculation. Rollins’ new contract is said to be a multi-year deal for “big money.”

Despite there being a great deal of interest in Rollins from outside of WWE, the sports entertainment giant had no intention of letting him slip away. One WWE higher-up noted at the time of the deal they wished it had been done sooner, and it will keep Rollins with the company until his 40s. Rollins will turn 38 on May 28th.

The news came after Drew McIntyre, Finn Balor, and Damian Priest all signed new contracts.

Becky Lynch’s WWE Contract To Expire Within Weeks

With Seth Rollins staying with WWE, many felt this was a sign his wife Becky Lynch would also remain with the company. Lynch’s contract is also up soon, but a new deal seemed to be a formality, however, things might not be that simple.

According to a new report from Fightful Select, Lynch is yet to sign a new contract. There have been talks between the two sides, but at press time no deal has been agreed or signed. As a result, the Women’s World Champion will become a free agent in “roughly” three weeks.

Lynch’s last scheduled match before her contract expires is a title defence against Liv Morgan at King & Queen of the Ring on May 25th.
