Bayley Looking To Lead WWE Women’s Division In 2025

Bayley has big plans for 2025.

After a year that saw her win the Women’s Royal Rumble match and then the Women’s Title at WrestleMania, Bayley is looking to end 2024 on a high.

The star was most recently in action at Survivor Series where she teamed with Rhea Ripley, Bianca Belair, Naomi, and Iyo Sky to defeat Liv Morgan, Nia Jax, Candice LeRae, Tiffany Stratton, and Raquel Rodriguez inside WarGames and she’s already got her eye on another WWE first.

The former NXT Champion is currently taking part in the tournament to crown the first-ever Women’s United States Champion where she’s set to face Chelsea Green in the semi-finals. But even with championship gold on the horizon, Bayley’s already looking at the bigger picture.

Bayley Aiming To Elevate Young Talent

During an appearance on The Five Count, Bayley was asked about her goals for 2025, and the former Women’s Champion revealed she’s looking beyond individual accomplishments in the ring. The star explained that this shift in perspective came when she made her return from a lengthy layoff at SummerSlam 2022.

“I have to think about that myself. When I came back from injury in 2022, or the end of 2021, my main goal was not to become a champion again. I felt that I had already gotten that out of my system and accomplished a bunch of title runs.

I really just wanted to see the women that I was with succeed, which were IYO SKY and Dakota Kai. Just be that leader that can push them in the right direction or be a foundation of where they started on SmackDown.

From that, I really learned how much I enjoyed helping younger talent.

For me, 2025 can be more of a leadership role. Not that I’m going to be out of the ring, but my goal is more bigger picture type things where I want to see the women’s division keep continuing the success that we’ve had these last few years and really start to take over and main event more shows, sell out more merch, and keep getting big. Wherever I can fit in on that, I’ll do my best at.”

During a recent interview, Cody Rhodes heaped praise on Bayley for her influence and work behind the scenes. Rhodes said that along with Randy Orton, the star is a true locker-room leader and is always on hand to motivate those around her.
