Andrade El Idolo To Put AEW Career On The Line

Andrade El Idolo is prepared to put everything on the line to get what he wants as he will leave AEW if he loses to an unlikely opponent on Rampage.

Andrade El Idolo caused a sensation when he joined AEW back in 2021 but his time in the company has often felt overshadowed by other stars and more recent arrivals such as CM Punk and Bryan Danielson.

Wrestling his debut match for AEW a month after first arriving, the former La Sombra defeated Matt Sydal but by the end of 2021 and into early 2022, Andrade was rarely on AEW’s flagship show. He’s yet to receive a one-on-one pay-per-view match either.

He’d previously spent six years with WWE, enjoying a run as United States Champion on the main roster, and an acclaimed NXT Championship reign in the black-and-gold brand. The latter of those saw Andrade wrestle Johnny Gargano in what was WWE’s first five-star-rated match since July 2011 – a difference of just over seven years.

Now amid rumours of Andrade El Idolo wanting out of AEW circulating, the star is going to put his job on the line on the October 7th edition of Rampage as he looks to get what he wants.

El Idolo has recently been courting Dark Order’s 10 in an attempt to recruit him to his stable. Tony Khan made it official on social media that 10 and El Idolo will face off on the two-year anniversary of Dark Order leader Brodie Lee’s last AEW match with 10’s mask going up against El Idolo’s AEW career.
