Alexa Bliss gives an update on her injured arm.

On the July 10 edition of Friday Night SmackDown, Bliss faced Jade Cargill in a singles match, which she lost. After the match, Cargill launched a brutal attack on her, targeting her left elbow.

In a new interview on ESPN’s Vibe Check, Bliss gave an update about her injured left arm. She stated that Cargill’s assault caused her elbow ligament to become overstretched. She is also dealing with a chipped bone.

Jade got me. Um, she bent my elbow backwards with a chair. Which is fine ’cause I have bendy elbows, but it went a little too far. And then when she slammed the chair, it just completely…

I think there’s like a bone chip in here. And then this ligament right here is a little over… overstretched. Uh, I mean sore, but it’s more the inconvenience of how bulky this thing is. It’s keeping it in place. It’s healing fast and I’m hoping that, you know, just a couple weeks and then we’re good.”

Alexa Bliss Likely To Miss WWE SummerSlam 2026

When asked about her status for SummerSlam, Bliss replied that it depends on her elbow.

“I don’t know. It just depends on my elbow and what… and what the plan is. You know, we don’t know really what the plan is for SummerSlam… but I know that whatever it is, I know at least Charlotte will be ready.”

According to a recent report shared by WrestleVotes, Alexa Bliss could miss SummerSlam this year because of her elbow injury.

She’s not planned for the match. For whatever reason. I haven’t heard her name included in SummerSlam plans. She’s got the elbow. So that might be part of why she’s not part of SummerSlam.”

While Alexa is reportedly likely to miss SummerSlam, her tag team partner, Charlotte Flair, will be in action at the show. She is one of the participants in the five-way ladder match for the Interim WWE Women’s Championship.
